Austin Celebrates American Heart Association's Centennial

The American Heart Association is celebrating 100 years of lifesaving work during American Heart Month in February. The association started in 1924 with six cardiologists in Chicago and has since become the nation's oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. With over 35 million volunteers and supporters and more than 2,900 employees, the association is a global force in transforming the understanding, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In 2024, the organization will celebrate its centennial with Bold Hearts™, a celebration of progress and a vision for a brighter future. Stay tuned for more information throughout the month.
