Las Cruces Public Libraries hosts Women's History Month group.

The Las Cruces Public Libraries in Las Cruces, NM, is celebrating Women's History Month by introducing a new book discussion group centered on Reproductive Justice. The Social Justice book discussion group will gather on March 26th at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library to delve into the titles highlighted this month.

One of the featured books is "All you have to Do is Call" by Kerri Maher. The story is set in Chicago during the early 1970s and follows a women's health organization called Jane. Jane is a secret network of women dedicated to helping others break free from societal and familial expectations. The organization's founder, Veronica, balances her role in Jane with her outward appearance as a traditional housewife, a challenge heightened by her high-risk pregnancy.

Set against a backdrop where personal choices were deeply political, Veronica must navigate a time when women were being told they had made significant progress. The decisions she makes will have a lasting impact on her life and those around her.
