Union County Removes Over 100 Guns Safely
Staff Report / cranfordlocal.org
Earlier today, Union County Chairwoman Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded and Commissioner Al Mirabella participated in the Union County Gun Surrender Event held at the Union County Police Headquarters in Westfield. The event successfully removed over 100 guns from circulation, contributing to the safety of local communities by preventing potential tragedies.
The program provided residents with a safe and legal method to dispose of unwanted firearms, ammunition, and prescriptions. This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of several agencies, including the Union County Board of County Commissioners, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, the Union County Police Chiefs Association, the Union County Sheriff’s Office, and the Union County Police Department.
