The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has kicked off #VetTechAppreciationWeek, recognizing the hard work and dedication of its veterinary technicians. Staff members have expressed their admiration for the vet techs, highlighting their kindness and compassion in providing care for animals daily.
PAWS' veterinary technicians perform a wide variety of tasks that are crucial for animal care, including administering medications, performing wound care, preparing pets for surgery, and monitoring them post-operation. Additionally, they care for animals with specific needs, such as bathing ringworm cats, giving injections, preparing surgical packs, cleaning ears, and administering fluids.
While the week is dedicated to celebrating their contributions, PAWS emphasizes its ongoing gratitude for the care and effort of its vet techs. The organization invites the community to share stories about vet techs who have made a lasting impression.
