NYPL Book Club Features Dinaw Mengestu's Novel

The New York Public Library (NYPL) is hosting a book club event titled "#GetLitWithAllOfIt" in collaboration with WNYC. For October, the featured book is "Someone Like Us," a novel by Dinaw Mengestu, who is also the author of "All Our Names."
In "Someone Like Us," the story follows the son of Ethiopian immigrants as he explores his family's hidden history. The narrative delves into themes such as unexpected loss, addiction, and the deep emotional connection to home.
