Support Students with Dyslexia This Awareness Month

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting students with dyslexia. Dyslexia is characterized by varying degrees of difficulty in learning to read, and it exists along a continuum. This means students may face different challenges in their reading abilities.
LAUSD acknowledges that, in addition to challenges, each student with dyslexia possesses unique strengths and needs. As a result, personalized support is crucial to help these students succeed. For more information about dyslexia resources and support, individuals can visit lausd.org/dyslexia.
