Chita Rivera, a renowned dancer, singer, actress, and writer, has passed away at the age of 91. She gained fame for her role as Anita in the Broadway production of West Side Story. Rivera showcased her exceptional talent for dance and singing in other notable productions such as Bye Bye Birdie, Chicago, and Kiss of the Spiderwoman.

Rivera's impressive career was recognized with numerous accolades, including two Tony Awards, two Drama Desk Awards, a Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
