Dox Thrash exhibition coming to African American Museum, Philadelphia.

The African American Museum in Philadelphia has announced an upcoming exhibition featuring the work of Dox Thrash, a renowned artist known for his masterful prints and paintings that celebrated African American life.
Dox Thrash, who lived from 1893 to 1965, served as a Buffalo Soldier in World War I before relocating to Philadelphia from Chicago in 1925 to pursue a career in art. He quickly gained local recognition for his work and was known to attend classes at Fleisher Memorial Art.
The exhibition showcasing Dox Thrash's art will begin on March 23rd, with a kickoff event scheduled for March 22nd. More information can be found on the museum's website at www.aampmuseum.org.
