The 2024 Myrtle Beach Mini-Marathon and Myrtle Beach Coastal 5K are set to begin today. The Mini-Marathon will start at 7:00 a.m., followed by the Coastal 5K at 7:30 a.m. In preparation for these events, the Myrtle Beach Police Department has announced road closures in various areas of the city to ensure the safety of the runners. Police officers will be stationed at every major avenue along the race routes to assist and guide traffic in and out of the area when safe to do so.
