This week, the Myrtle Beach Fire Department's Engine 6 crew visited The Growing Tree preschool to celebrate Fire Safety Month. During the visit, firefighters introduced themselves to the children in the 1 and 2-year-old classes during recess.

The young students had the opportunity to see the firefighters in their full gear, touch their gloves, explore the equipment, and hear the sounds of the fire engine sirens. This initiative aimed to teach the children that firefighters are safe and friendly figures, even in emergencies.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department expressed gratitude to The Growing Tree for allowing them to engage with the children and promote a sense of safety.
