San José Parks Department Closed for Indigenous Peoples' Day

San José's Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. This holiday celebrates the history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous communities.
The City of San José acknowledges that it is located on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Muwekma Ohlone and Tamien Nation tribes. Residents are encouraged to learn more about these Indigenous cultures and consider ways to be better stewards of the land and environment.
