The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity has announced that all DEO offices will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024, in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, October 15.

In addition, the department encourages the public to access a curated collection of recommended reading materials that highlight the culture, history, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples. This collection is available through the Los Angeles County Library's website at lacountylibrary.org/indigenous-peoples-day/.
