The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has issued an incident alert regarding a deputy-involved shooting in Castaic. Authorities are advising the public to avoid the area around Parker Road and Sloan Canyon Road.

Deputies responded to a call for service at around 12:00 p.m. at that intersection. During their response, a shooting involving a deputy took place. The suspect has been transported to a local hospital, but their condition is currently unknown. All deputies involved in the incident are reported to be uninjured and accounted for.
